Welcome to our community and thank you for your interest.  For years, our region has prided itself on our fantastic natural resources and our picturesque views.  Our community is gratefully located under the Canadian Shield and at the North end of Ontario’s Algonquin Park.

As Mayor of Mattawa, I would like to wish everyone a fantastic experience and the very best in your adventures of the area.  Take your time to enjoy the likes of Samuel de Champlain Park, the Voyageur Multi-Use Trail System, our Voyageur Statues, Lake Nosbonsing, and the Meeting of the Rivers – “Mattawa & Ottawa.”  With joy, you will be pleased of our great atmosphere surrounding the area where the 17th and 21st Centuries Meet.
